Privacy

You can read every page on Your Body Almanac without an account, and we don't track you while you do.

What we store

  • If you only read: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for security and debugging and deleted on a rolling basis. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.
  • If you create an account: your email address, a hashed password, your time zone, the factors you save, the habits you track, the practices you tick off and when, the days you log with “Today I…”, the meals you log with their calories, your email reminder settings, and when you accepted the terms.
  • When you sign in: the IP address and browser of each signed-in session, until you sign out or delete your account.
  • If you use the API, MCP server or CLI: the names of your access tokens (stored hashed) and when they were last used, and the apps you connect with OAuth (such as Claude), with their access tokens.

What your almanac says about you

The factors you save, such as your job, your drinking or where you live, can be sensitive. We use them only to build your checklist. We never sell them, share them with advertisers, or use them for anything else.

Who else sees it

We don't use advertising pixels, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on any page, signed in or not.

  • Hosting: the site and its database run on servers we rent from a hosting provider, which stores the data above on our behalf.
  • Email: password-reset and reminder emails are sent through an email delivery provider, which receives your email address and the email's contents.
  • Calorie estimates: when you log a meal without a number, what you wrote about it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to estimate the calories. Nothing else about you goes with it: no name, email or almanac. Give the number yourself and nothing is sent.
  • Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them.
  • Apps you connect: an app or AI assistant you connect with a token or OAuth receives the almanac data you ask it to read. You can revoke it at any time from My almanac → API & apps.

Deleting your data

Delete your account from your almanac page and everything tied to it is deleted immediately.
