Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Your Body Almanac (AKDARRAH LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, “we”). By using the site you agree to them.

1. Information only

Your Body Almanac provides general health and wellness information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and no doctor–patient or other professional relationship is created by your use of it. Read the Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

Exercise, stretching and changes to what you eat carry a risk of injury or illness. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise, stretching or nutrition practice. If you choose to try a practice, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk, and you accept that risk.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your almanac page, which deletes the data stored with it.

3. Paid features

Some features, such as the daily checklist, may later require a paid subscription. They are free during the beta. Before we charge anything, we will tell you the price and terms and ask you to agree. Nothing will be charged without your explicit consent.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no scraping at a volume that degrades service, no attempts to access other people's accounts, no interfering with security.

5. Content

The site's text and design belong to us. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution. Linked sources belong to their owners.

6. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100.

8. Indemnity

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will tell account holders by email or on the site.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Hamilton County, Indiana.
